As longtime readers should be aware, I am a huge fan of UK's progressive mathcore crew Sikth. I consider them to have been one of the most historyically under-rated bands for the genre, but that seems to be changing with new exposure. Their comeback mini-album, Opacities, was the only album I preordered in 2015 and it was worth the contribution to their campaign. But now we have a new full length on the horizon due out May 26 through Millenium Night; and we are getting our first taste in the form of "No Wishbones." I won't say it's my favorite song I've heard from the band, but then again, I didn't love "Philistine Philosophies" at first either and now it's in my regular rotation. I am curious to see how this release pans out, especially in the absence of longtime clean vocalist Justin. We'll just have to wait and see. I'll be right here to cover it when that happens.
