The Pitch: Old school blackened thrash and war metal from Brazil. FFO Sarcófago
What I Like: Fast, furious, and f@$king angry. The vocal performance is completely unhinged. "Massacre" is a wrecking ball of raging riffs that conjures imagery of classics from both OSDM and first wave BM. The drumming is arguably even more relentless, as evidenced in just a few seconds with the opening of "Escarro Napalm," as well as throughout with the delightful sudden breaks. How often do we hear sticks clicking together these days? It's a nice touch. 23 minutes feels just right for this kind of music.
What I Don't Like: Fairly predictable stuff and not always strong enough to make up for it.
The Verdict: It's you're just looking to drive a panzer through a building sonically, this is the album for you.
