Listen to GoDie Project

The Pitch: Man, Italy be knocking down my door right now.  This album from the ambient/drone GoDie_Project "aims to explore the territories of experimental music through a language that tries to fuse the various peculiarities of different genres to trace "soundscapes" as "images"."   It was recorded over 6 months using only low-fi equipment.

What I Like: Look, guys and gals, you know I'm far from an expert on this kind of music.  As such I tend to default to that flat 8 rating above.  That having been said, my thoughts stumbling through this are quite positive.  The album has a pretty ominous vibe, one that leaves me feeling like I should look over my shoulder every few minutes to make sure something's not watching me.  The electronic compositions range from having an experimental hip-hop flavor to more of a Nine Inch Nails or platEAU vibe.  I also give mad props for the low-fi approach.  I can hear the difference.  It's like creature shop versus CGI.

What I Don't Like: This is not my genre of choice, so I don't see myself listening to it much.  Nothing about the album bothered me, I'm just a total noob.

The Verdict:  Listen to this album no matter what you're into.  Expanding your horizons is never a bad thing.  If you happen to be more knowledgeable in ambient/drone/electronic music, please feel free to drop a comment on our Facebook, review it yourself, and/or otherwise reshare this man's hard work.
