The Pitch: France killing it yet again with more hardcore, this time from Barque out of Lillie via Eastrain Rec.  FFO Code Orange, Cowards, God Mother, Grieved, The Armed

What I Like: Mammoth riffs and drums open this album and rarly let up; the thunderous sound rivaled only by mother nature and the old gods themselves.  With a few mathy beats and some diabolical vocals, this is the perfect fodder for those looking for that dark, noisey European sound.  I love the interplay of the lead howls and backup growls; a move that adds to the live performance feel and makes me yearn to find myself in one of their pits.  Even the midpaced melodic breaks carry a sense of impending doom that is positively crushing a la ConvergeCoffin Cutters rages by proving that even the briefest of storms can leave a grand wake of destruction.

What I Don't Like: That you haven't bought this album yet.

The Verdict: Another act worthy of Kurt Ballou's catalgue, these guys are on the verge of greatness for sure.  The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long, and you have burned so very very brightly, Roy.

Flight's Fav's: Path of the Hierophant, Betrayed Monarch, Absalom
