The Pitch: Australian metallic hardcore band End It All inflict copious amounts of pain with this to-the-point EP. FFO: Harms Way, Jesus Piece, Hatebreed
What I Like: I Can't Help This Feeling, unlike the REO Speedwagon classic "Can't Fight This Feeling," is not a feel good anthem about young love. It's a hard hitting, no holds barred 11 minutes of metallic hardcore that leaves all of the usual bruises in its wake. Alternating between tough guy, beatdown chord progressions a la Hatebreed and D beat-driven ragers, these 4 tracks are a cornucopia of aggression. Dissonant panic chords, earth-rending cascades of toms, and a few Botch-isms make this EP required fodder for hardcore fans in 2019.
Critiques: No real surprises. Needs some cowbell.
The Verdict: Heavy, hostile hardcore. Need I say more? End It All know their wheelhouse, and they certainly deliver on the usual premise. Name Your Price for it right now on Bandcamp.
