The Pitch: Fusing the rawest elements of crust, powerviolence, d-beat, and grind, Washington's The Drip is produced by Joel Grind of Toxic Holocaust and mastered by Brad Boatright (Skeletonwitch, Gatecreeper, Weekend Nachos)

What I Like: This is some pummeling s@#t.  You can really hear the hardcore/powerviolence colliding with the death metal elements.  The imposing vocal delivery reminds me a lot of Sven from Aborted, but with 50% more "blech!" and backed by grindier riffs.  Everything is fast as hell and equally aggressive, but they know when to take the occasional (brief) melodic break to keep you from passing out completely from the G-force.  These drums are bizonkers.

What I Don't Like: I can hear cynics calling this like "death metal lite" or something like that, but I think it would be so boring if everyone sounded like Death or Dying Fetus.

The Verdict: These guys have a bad attitude, and I love it.  The next big thing for fans of Aborted, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Cattle Decapitation if you ask me.  Full stream is HERE, buy it Friday.
