The Pitch: Atmospheric black metal from Chile's Sol Sistere brings about more melodic grimness not unlike UADA or Void Omnia
What I Like: Emotive, expansive, energetic. These compositions are brimming with feeling, but never at the expense of aggression or heaviness. Many bands in this style think you can just cut and paste the same tremolo line over and over again and call it a day. Not Sol Sistere.
What I Don't Like: It's been done. Thankfully they do it well.
The Verdict: Sol Sistere is another excellent option to turn to when ti comes to the ever-growing world of atmospheric black metal. They have the melodious hooks and grim vocals to warrant your attention whether you're looking for more talent or just a way to break into the scene for the first time.
