The Pitch: A genre that is one of my favorites but rarely done great, Ravencult from Athens, Greece deliver torment and depravity with their latest bit of the blackened thrash.

What I Like: Vile, grim, and aggressive.  This album is full of energy in both the guitar and drums.  Certain tracks really get the blood boiling, and the vocals are extremely effective.

What I Don't Like: I know this keeps coming up, but it's no less relevant here: less is more.  Especially when it comes to anything thrash, pushing beyond 3 minutes often detracts from what otherwise might be a truly ferocious track.

The Verdict: Force of Profanation is a thrashy good time, but one that would benefit from being much more concise.  There is a clear reason why my favorites below are all under the 3:30 mark.

Flight's Fav's: "Altar of Impurity," "Tormentor of Flesh," "Doom Oracle"
