The Pitch: Beelzebud's "Feelgood Two-Piece Noisemachine of Doom" from Singapore, or how I learned to stop worrying and love extreme doom metal. FFO Beithioch, Creeping, Gurthang, Indian
What I Like: Buckets and buckets of fuzz. But not in that blacklight, 70's kind of way. This is a more blackened affair, with some truly hellish vocals screaming from the ether. I tend to be against the whole 3 tracks covering nearly an hour of music format, but Beelzebud makes it work quite admirably. The first two songs maintain plenty of aggression while the enormous, 25 minute "Durhaka" amps of the atmosphere with a more freeform, instrumental approach. I was skeptical about how I would react to the latter, but it all worked out in the end.
Critiques: There's room for a little more flair and general growth, but I like the foundation of sound presented here.
The Verdict: Doomy doom doom...doom doom. Dooooooooom! Listen below.
