The Pitch: Beastly blackened death metal from the Mediterranean island of Malta.
What I Like: Fast, primitive, and brutal. The vocals remind me a bit of Piotr Wiwczarek in their gruff intensity. Thrashy tremolo lines and battering drums really keep the energy levels up. The alternation of blastbeats and d-beat is addictive.
What I Don't Like: Some of the tracks feel a little generic and don't fully come together.
The Verdict: Fans of fast and furious death metal like Vader should enjoy what Beast Incanarnate has to offer. It falls a bit short in truly leaving a lasting impression, but gets the job done while you're listening.
