The Pitch: Hyperakusi (Swedish word that means "hypersensitivity to everyday sounds") is an insane split of Swedish grind for fans of Napalm Death, Insect Warfare, and Brutal Truth,

What I Like:  The real meat of this split is right in the middle.  Resonance Cascade steals the show with some truly violent tracks including the ones I've listed below.  The screams are truly harrowing while both the guitars and drums are so fast that it may take a few listens to really get a handle on what is even happening with the song. Järnbörd take a more lo-fi approach that often crosses the line from grindcore to metallic punk.  It's a subtle difference, but I think contrasting these bands helps to clarify it.  Gritty D-beats for days.

What I Don't Like: Grind can be hard to rate as a lot of it sounds similar.  Such is the case once more for this split.  I also feel like it takes too many tracks to really get the ball rolling and trails off a bit at the end.

The Verdict: Hyperakusi is an impressively aggressive split that is sufficient for battering your eardrums, but falls a little short in consistency and bringing anything new to the table.

Flight's Fav's: Burned to the Ground, A Message to Joshua, Failure, Lets die
