STREAM: Throat Slitting Black Metal from FUNERAL MIST

June 14, 2018

"Each new album by Funeral Mist, a band whose origins date back to the mid '90s, is the equivalent of an earthquake, a devastation of biblical proportions. Salvation, released in 2003, was the epitome of frantic, hostile fanaticism. Maranatha, released in 2009, reeked of an all-engulfing decadence. Hekatomb builds on these grandiose fondations with decrepit odes, comparable to none but Funeral Mist. The intensity of the album is matched in uniqueness only by its odd structures, born from the deranged mind of a madman, and the haunting melodies that float eerily among the possessed voices of the damned are of a kind, once heard, never to be forgotten again."
