Lanayah is a post metal/doomgaze crew based out of Santa Barbara, CA. With elements of drone, post-rock and folk fused with distant, tortured vocals; their new album Forever In May fits right in alongside groups like Deafheaven and Bosse-de-Nage. And despite still being plenty heavy, there's a very warm, summertime feel to the album that is a welcome reprieve from the usual chilling tunes I listen to. Shake of the snow and watch the frost melt away below.
