STREAM: Sludgy Doom from ONHOU

March 15, 2018

Netherlands sludge and doom band Onhou,  made up of previous and current members of Ortega, Wolvon and Grinding Halt, released their debut EP this past February via Tartarus Records on digital and cassette. Onhou "embodies their northern heritage by mixing desolate sludgy doom riffs with miserable post-metal atmospheres." The band further elaborates that this EP "is meant to be uncomfortable. The frustration of losing a battle you didn’t even know you were in, against an invisible entity festering you into defeat. But you were taught to keep going, it has always been the only option. Two long tracks filled with angular heavy riffs, pounding drums and eerie synths will only leave you with one option, one outcome." Get dragged through these swampy bass grooves below.
