Velaraas is a progressive metal band with tinges of folk based out of Portland, OR. The band features a very dramatic and epic sound that draws parallels to the likes of Wilderun and Winterhorde. In a humorous twist of fate, my wife ran into a member and referred him to the site after seeing his metal attire...but only after he had already become aware of Metal Trenches due to our review and interview with fellow Portland band The Odious.
