Mefitis are a progressive black metal project from Beijing. The band recently released their debut EP, Despair, and recommend it to fans of Emperor, Enslaved, and Opeth, though I must say their music is much more gnarly than aggressive than any of those groups. The production is much more aligned to the days of raw 80's thrash. Also the riffing is chaotic as f#$k. In any case, give the madness a listen below. The amalgam of influences actually reminds me a bit of earlier Sigh.
