Blackthorn can be described as a musical ritual merging black metal with dark and occult atmospheres. There’s definitely a feeling of occult mysticism and utter darkness pervading throughout the entire EP with slow parts and trance-like passages reminiscent of a spiritual ritual quickly followed by pieces built on the more caustic and ferocious side of black metal."
