Letters In The Abyss is a melodic death metal duo based out of Los Angeles, California. The band states influences including Insomnium, At the Gates, and Kataclysm, and I can especially hear that first one in their melodic-yet-somber approach. While undoubtedly heavy, there is something deeply mournful about this 3 song EP. Those vocals though...pretty brutal. It's an interesting dichotomy.
