Portland's Anonymia describe themselves as "DDIY (Drunken Do It Yourself) folk metal." With acoustic bass, violin, death growls, and of course plenty of drunken chanting, this band is perfect for a Viking bar brawl. Anonymia recently opened for the Ensiferum/Septicflesh/Arsis show I covered, but unfortunately I missed their set as I was busy interviewing Sami...though I could definitely hear them a bit from the bar. Fortunately they are right in my backyard, so hopefully I'll get another chance soon. For the rest of you, stream the ale-soaked madness below and buy the album for the price of your choosing.
