From the ashes of Italian metal project Affronto comes Çoban, a somewhat difficult-to-classify fusion of black metal bleakness with post-hardcore sentiments. Both abrasive and mournful, violent and haunting, their debut EP is filled of sludgey riffs, hardcore howls, and dark earworm melodies.
