Russian Black Metal from LUCIFER'S DUNGEON (Full Stream)

Nov. 27, 2017

"Lucifer's Dungeon was initiated in 2008 by Cain Black in Thailand, where he lived from 2006 to 2010. Originally it was planned that it would be a one-man band called Dark Cellar. In 2009, a demo was recorded, but it was lost. In 2010, after returning to Russia, Cain Black continued to write music and lyrics and later in 2014, he recruited new members. The band has played a couple of concerts in between 2014 to 2017.

Second offering Music of Lost Spirits was originally recorded in November 2016 (just within a month), but recorded in July 2017. Usage of better equipment and reliance on more professional and clearer production has helped this release to generate different and darker sound than that of the debut one.  Throughout the murky atmospheric songwriting approach, the presence of crafty dark riffs, melodic leads, and hateful voice are clearly manifested. Cain Black solely contributed the vocal, guitar and bass duties on the album; only exception is the track “My Eyes”, where KoNo contributed the vocal task as a guest member. The ambient version of the track “My Eyes” was present in the debut album, but this time the sound has shifted to the realm of nefarious black metal. Three different drummers individually recorded drum parts for this album, they are: Cerberus, A.F. and Gromm."
