If there is a region I currently attribute with the best melding of the melodic and heavy, it's Finland. While Sweden will always be remembered as the forerunners, most of the new, notable groups I hear in this style tend to be Finnish. So is the case with The Hypothesis who slayed me this morning with the above music video for "Eye for an Eye." Between the killer riffs and electronic additions, I'm getting a Mors Principium Est vibe. Watch for a full release later this year.
