Vancouver's WISTERIA have just released their debut EP Ison's Wake. The band, formed by LIFE AGAINST DEATH vocalist Claire "Twitchy" Carreras, is a complete departure from the sound which she is known for. Instead of the thrash/death/grind hybrid of her regular band, WISTERIA takes jazz, prog, thrash and doom and combines them into three tracks of genre-bending madness. About WISTERIA:
Formed in November of 2014 by vocalist Claire ‘Twitchy’ Carreras (Life Against Death, HED?S, Joyce Collingwood) the intention for this new project was simply to see how far outside of the comfort zone one could take themselves musically. As Claire said, “The thought going into this new adventure was, what still makes me uncomfortable as an artist and how far out there am I really willing to go?”
