A friend of mine used to play instrumental post metal/post rock in Chicago doing the local circuit. The band was great, but has since called it quits. Now he seems to have been hit in the head with a bat several times and abducted by aliens, cuz he plays in avantgarde wtf act, Space Blood. Masks, malort, and mayhem. Is it metal? Is it music? I dunno. I guess I shouldn't be surprised given that I spent a Thanksgiving weekend with him once watching a back to back marathon of the Feast trilogy.
