It's always exciting to hear something done right with metalcore, and progcore band from Hungary, Orient Fall, are doing it right. You can hear their amazing album above. I am working on a full review, but it felt like a crime to make you wait to hear this one. More details below:
„After long years of waiting Hungary’s hottest progressive metalcore newcomer, Orient Fall has finally released its highly anticipated debut full-length album under the name of ‘Fractals’. The record contains thirteen brand new songs and continues the way of the first EP: an image of a complicated, progressive path through a mature, bravely experimenting and modern sound with a message-oriented and passionate attitude. The recording and the mixing was done by Orient Fall, led by the guitarist “Dark Side”, but the band tried to coordinate almost everything around themselves from the production to the visual appearance. Three additional guests were involved in the project, including Bálint Csongor from the Hungarian progressive metal act, Subscribe, who defined the sound of the 2000s in the Hungarian metal scene. The artwork and the visual concept were made by vocalist, Krisztián Buzás and his brother, Daniel. The message-oriented band's lyrics are also worth reading through carefully – though by their own admission it’s not a concept record – the lyrics are connected together using a chain of thought and while matching to the album title they are a part of a larger entity. The band’s management and the digital distribution of 'Fractals' is handled by GarageLive."
