"Night Gaunt is a hard-sounding, gloomy and oppressive record. Slower and traditional rythms are broken by sudden Celtic Frost-like speedups, while the lyrics are inspired by the personal sphere: the aim is to convey the anguish, the anxiety and the alienation of those who are victims of their mental prisons. This is particularly evident in tracks such as the Patient, Breathless and Acquiesent Grave, and in the artwork, that is dark and minimal"
