Flashback Track: "David De La Hoz"

April 22, 2016

I've name-dropped The Chariot quite a bit, and for good reason.   This mathcore/hardcore group from Nashville, led by the former founding vocalist of Norma Jean, put out a number of awesome albums before disbanding a few years ago.  But there is one track in particular I wanted to share today.  "David De La Hoz" from Long Live stands as one of the most unique tracks I have heard in a long time.  It reminds me a bit of the excellent crossover with mewithoutyou on "Memphis Will Be Laid to Waste," but this is a spoken word performance I have never quite seen matched.  Hear it for yourself below (guest appearance begins at about 1:09).
