Nightgrave is an interesting project from the mind behind Vulnus. It's an experimental union of post-black, atmospheric black metal, and doom that gets downright epic with its melodies, but doesn't skimp on the dark side of things either. Ultimately, Echo delivers something fresh that is neither the same rehashed black metal standard nor trite, hipster ego stroking. It simply is what it is, and unapologetically so.
