File this under biggest surprises of 2016 so far. I took one look at that band name in my inbox and was ready to pass. Fortunately for all of you, I try to not judge a book by its cover. Bushwhacker play some kick-ass progressive metal in the vein of groups like Mastadon, but occasionally hit the fury and speed of Lamb of God in the process. If we really want to talk about the biggest highlight here, you have got to hear this drummer. The man is diabolical. It was a tough call between this, Wormed, and North; but of the 3 I think this won for innovation.
