The Pitch: Belgian black metallers Saille release their fourth full length album through Code 666.  "With Gnosis (Greek for 'knowledge') we venture into the world of the Promethean ideal and its Luciferian counterpart."  FFO Dark Fortress, Emperor, Carach Angren

What I Like:  These guys have a pretty expansive sound; the kind that makes you picture them performing in an open field under a swirling grey sky.  It is at once atmospheric and grounded in the grim aesthetic of 2nd wave; embracing the classic approaches of Emperor, but with the modern production of Carach Angren.  And aside from hailstorm of tremolos, the guitar players can also shred some solos and engage in heavy metal and viking worship as with the aptly-titled "Magnum Opus."

What I Don't Like: Tracks can get a little repetetive.  For instance, I love all of the elements on "Genesis 11;1-9;" they just get played over a few too many times.

The Verdict: A group that is certain to be epic live and has plenty to offer on tape, but could benefit from trimming a little fat from their compositions.  Buy it Friday.  Stream it early HERE.

Flight's Fav's: Benei ha'Elohim, Blôt, Magnum Opus
