Hailing from Belgium and with former members of classic UK black metal band Enthroned, they have taken the blackened death sound into some strange and exciting new territories. They redefine the word "heavy" without relying on blunt force, gore, or shock. Taking a step back, their songs are actually on the quieter side, and yet they continue to feel bigger and more terrifying than half of the extreme bands I listen to. It's the difference between the big, "scary" monster put right in front of the camera so much you become desensitized, and the unseen terror filled in by your ever-growing imagination.
