The Pitch:  Fearsome one man, atmospheric black metal from Time Lurker and the mighty LADLO Productions.  FFO: Regarde Les Hommes Tomber, UADA, Wildernessking

What I Like: Time Lurker represents a collection of material from previous EP's, and as such I enjoy hearing the progression of sound.  The album opens with a strong emphasis on the atmospheric aspects of the project's sound.  The compositions are very expansive and ethereal; evoking imagery of intergalactic travel and philosophical contemplation.  With the vocals echoing in the distant background, these moments recall the early works of Altar of Plagues and the like.  But as the album wears on, the grim and aggressive elements gradually take hold stronger and stronger; culminating in my favorite track, "Whispering From Space."  This track is a blistering hellfire that captivates me every second of its eight and half minute runtime.  While I enjoy the majority of this release, I sincerely hope that Time Lurker's sound is trending towards this more pernicious approach.

Critiques: Own the heavier and more riff and vocal-driven side of your sound.  Bands deploying repetetive unions of blastbeats and predictable tremolo structures are a dime a dozen these days.  I hope that you continue to strive for something more than that.

The Verdict: Witness the growth from decent, atmospheric pupa to glorious Death's Head Hawkmoth with Time Lurker.  This project is spreading its wings and taking flight, and I think they have landed the right label to strike terror from the skies.

Flight's Fav's: Whispering From Space, Ethereal Hands, No Way Out From Mankind
