The Pitch: Polish progressive, technical death metal with the mind-bending chaos of Gigan, Gorguts, and Mr. Bungle.

What I Like: EVERYTHING.  It's like Deformeathing Production wanted to give me one last Christmas present before the year was done.  These compositions are biz-onkers.  Not only do the tech death portions rip through some truly righteous riffs and drumming, they also purposefully derail into some strange and uncharted territories that rarely detract from my enjoyment.  Variety is the spice of life, and with Youdash the spice flows freely.

What I Don't Like: The standard death vocals can get a little grating at times.  I prefer when they shake things up as on "Devouring Cell."  Some tweaks in production might help here.  I also don't care for "Strip Tease."  It feels like an outtake, and is a bummer way to end an otherwie nearly flawless album.

The Verdict: A year in review isn't over til it's over, and Youdash are strong contenders as both innovators and musicians.  They have crafted quite the metal Rubik's Cube.

Flight's Fav's:  "Hunting Among The Stars," "Devouring Cell," "Astral Anxiety"
