The Pitch: Teutonic thrash from Denmark for fans of Sodom, Kreator, and Destruction.

What I Like:  The first two tracks of this EP are some truly bludgeoning offerings that border on blackened thrash.  The vocals are absolutely vile and the riffs are not only treachorously fast, but highly engaging.  Tons of energy, tons of evil.  I love the clunky basslines and especially dig that transitional build on "Megalodon."  Everything great about the early German thrash metal scene is on perfect display here.

What I Don't Like: The last two tracks...not my cup of tea.  It just sounds like generic heavy metal to me, though the riffs still ain't half bad.  EDIT: It has been brough to my attention that I'm a total pleb and didnt realize these were Iron Maiden and Misfits covers.  My one defense is that, in my own humble opinion, covers should take on a new persona in the style of the band doing the cover rather than move for a complete rehash.

The Verdict: You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have Styx Demon: The Master Of Death.  My personal preference is that these guys stick to the more extreme elements and they will do just fine.

Flight's Fav's: Megalodon, Styx Demon
