The Pitch: Sliptrick records release Swedish melodeath band In My Embrace's latest album.  Recommended for fans of Insomnium.

What I Like: These guys have actually been around since 2004, which was still a big time for the melodeath/Gothenburg scene.  They have managed to keep the essence of that sound on the more somber end of the scale.  I actually think, largely due to the riffs, that Black Waters Deep is a superior album to much of Insomnium's output despite having a very similar approach.

What I Don't Like:  While I think they manage a depressive atmosphere well, it doesn't lend itself much to really standout moments that feel like they will stick with me much.

The Verdict:  Black Waters Deep is another strong entry for the melodic death metal genre.  I see this band going places if they can step up their game in terms of truly memorable moments.  Stream below, buy it HERE.

Flight's Fav's: This album is consistent enough that I couldn't really pick.
