The Pitch: Indian thrash metal titans Chaos are back with their sophomore album through Transcending Obscurity.  We share the exclusive early stream of the track, "Asylum."  FFO Harlott, Iron Reagan, Terrifier

What I Like: When it rains, it pours.  The day I get one good album in a genre I haven't done much with in a while, the floodgates open.  It started with Terrifier and Iron Reagan, then Power Trip and Harlott.  And now we have the latest thrash metal that you need to know in 2017: Chaos.  Let's be real, I think there is still a stigma against metal from further East, especially if it is a genre besides black metal.  This makes me glad that I write for Transcending Obscurity, and therefore have a closer connection to the bands I might otherwise miss out on from this region.  Chaos is not a great "Indian band"... they are a great band.  Period.  Their riffs are every bit as energetic and proficient as their American and German counterparts, and the lyrics and vocals carry just as big a punch.  If you are a thrash fan, I once more challenge you to listen to this album without singing along, throwing up a fist, banging your head, or at least tapping your foot to the D-beat.  The guantlet has been thrown down.

What I Don't Like: Don't expect anything that you haven't heard before, but do expect it to be played at top tier quality.

The Verdict: Seriously, if it has to be one or the other, stop buying those played out new Megadeth albums and throw your support at something with the youth and vigour of the 80's and 90's thrash that defined a generation.  Get it Saturday, stream "Asylum" and a few other tracks below today.
