"Little Dead Bertha, one of the oldest and most distinguished Russian metal bands, was founded in Voronezh in 1994...a combination of symphonic arrangements, alternating female operatic vocals and growling, and the high density of guitar sound with undeniable national color." The band just released their latest album, Age Of Silence, through SoundAge Productions, and I must say that for a band that's been kicking around for over 3 decades, it sounds remarkably modern and fresh. The compositions are fast and heavy while maintaining a certain air of class. If you're a fan of Fleshgod Apocalypse, Dimmu Borgir, Carache Angren, and Cradle of Filth, you definitely should give this a listen.
