Dark Divinity is a 5-piece melodic death metal band based in Wellington, New Zealand. The band released their debut single "Seasons of Dark" in November 2017, and they are following this up with a music video for "Exegenesis." The band is primarily inspired by melodic death legends like At the Gates, The Haunted, and Soilwork, but they also takes cues from other death and black metal acts such as Immortal, Morbid Angel, and Death. The resulting sound is truly vicious. I'm particularly fond of the vocal direction, which really does run the gamut of these genres. Check out the video below, and watch for an album later this year.
